I understand how difficult life's challenges can be and how they affect one's mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
Whether you've been struggling with anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship problems, or an addiction, I am here to support you using evidence-based therapeutic modalities and spiritual practices.
As a Registered Psychotherapist, I've married my Microbiology undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph with a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University.
I’m fascinated with the many different systems that exist in the body and how they all interact and flow together, and what happens when they are imbalanced and out of homeostasis.
Science and our lives are intertwined on every level. Therefore, my attraction to science, in combination with my personal life experiences, has led me to study the workings of the nervous system, the brain and the biology at work with trauma.
In addition to the importance of neuroscience, spirituality is also a necessary element required to achieve feelings of wholeness. I've completed training to help direct mindfulness meditations through the University of Delphi, Georgia, and participated in Relational Somatic Psychology training through the Ryzio Institute.
Additionally, I have received my Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist credentials through the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness in Boulder, Colorado.
Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) and aspects from various other efficacious modalities that are rooted in science, my goal is to help clients feel better as quickly as possible so they can ultimately begin to experience more joy in their lives.
Instead of reacting out of fear or shame, you can begin to respond to people and situations from a place of calmness, clarity, confidence, curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage, and connectedness.
I understand how daunting it is to find a good therapist in Toronto you are really comfortable with. Don't hesitate to book a virtual 20-minute consultation to see if our chemistry feels right.
When I'm not in my psychotherapist role, I'm spending time with my husband and three kiddos, currently 9, 12 and 15 years young.
I love nature and enjoy exploring life outside the hustle and bustle of Toronto when I get the chance.
My happy place is the beach, which reminds me of the many summers I spent at the Sandbanks with my family while I was growing up.
